Product Description Formatter

Paste raw product notes and get a formatted listing for Amazon, Etsy, Shopify or eBay.

Your formatted listing will appear here.

This reformats and structures the notes you provide — it does not invent product details. Review the output before publishing, and adjust to match your platform’s specific character limits.

How the formatter restructures your notesHow it’s calculated

This tool doesn’t generate new product claims — it restructures what you already wrote. The first line you enter becomes the title (converted to Title Case). Every line after that becomes a bullet point. All lines are then joined together into a single description paragraph. Separately, the tool scans your notes for the most frequently repeated meaningful words (4+ letters) and surfaces those as suggested tags, since repeated words in your own notes are usually the terms you actually want a listing to rank for.

The output layout then adapts to the platform you pick: Etsy’s structure emphasizes a 140-character title and up to 13 tags; Amazon’s separates bullet “key features” from backend search terms; Shopify keeps things flexible with a short and full description; eBay leans on “item specifics” formatting. None of this replaces your own editing — it’s meant to save you from retyping the same product information four different ways across four different platforms.

Product Description Formatter — FAQ

Does this write descriptions using AI?

No. It uses straightforward text-processing rules — splitting lines into a title and bullets, and counting repeated words for tags. It only reorganizes what you type; it doesn’t generate new claims about your product.

Will the tags match each platform’s exact limits?

The tool aims for a reasonable count (up to 13, matching Etsy’s tag limit) but you should still check the result against Amazon’s specific backend keyword character limit or Etsy’s per-tag 20-character rule before publishing.

Can I use this for print-on-demand or handmade listings?

Yes — it works for any product type as long as you provide the raw details as separate lines (material, size, care instructions, use case, etc.).

Does the output need editing before I publish it?

Yes, always review it. This tool structures your notes into a usable draft; it’s not a substitute for a final proofread against your platform’s specific listing guidelines.
