Why we built this

That’s The Tool started as a simple idea: a lot of the small tasks people do online — formatting text, validating a bit of JSON, generating a QR code, cleaning up a product listing before it goes live on Etsy or Amazon — shouldn’t need an account, a subscription, or a five-tab detour through ad-heavy sites that take thirty seconds to load a single button.

So we built a small, focused set of tools that open instantly, do one job well, and get out of your way.

What you’ll find here

We keep this site deliberately narrow. Every tool on That’s The Tool falls into one of three groups: everyday text utilities, developer utilities, and tools for people selling on Etsy, Amazon, Shopify or eBay. If a tool doesn’t fit one of those three jobs, it doesn’t belong here — we’d rather do a few things well than everything at once.
